Well, honestly, I prefer Honda against Verano. I just love this car. Up to 5,600 employees could be impacted by Honda Motor Co.'s Voluntary Retirement Package, a measure deemed essential by the Japanese parent office to deal with sluggish sales. With bad car credit finance, you will get the assistance you need for a new car.

why would you even post a comparison like that. first of all it makes no sense at all since one is a hybrid and the other is not. second one is a luxury car while the other is just a regular plain jane economy car. its not a comparison.......

Why would they compared a hybrid that's priced similar to a non hybrid.... terrible review..

I don't think this was a fair review since they are comparing a hybrid economy car to a luxury car. Two totally different things.

Civic Hybrid speaks for it's self. It's a CIVIC with a hybrid powertrain made to get great gas mileage

meanwhile...

The Buick Verano is a luxury compact sedan not totally aimed at great gas mileage but it's luxury at a cheaper price.

2012 Honda Civic Hybrid vs. 2012 Buick Verano

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will feel a little more squished in the Honda Civic Hybrid than in the Buick Verano, due to the Honda Civic Hybrid's smaller rear head- and legroom. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Honda Civic Hybrid and the Buick Verano in the front seats.

Convenience

You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Honda Civic Hybrid as you will with the Buick Verano, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost

There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Whether you pick the Honda Civic Hybrid or the Buick Verano, it's going to cost you about the same. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Honda Civic Hybrid carries a much lower Destination Charge than the Buick Verano.

Dimensions

Since the Honda Civic Hybrid is much slimmer than the Buick Verano, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. The Honda Civic Hybrid is slightly shorter than the Buick Verano, which may make it easier to park.

Drivetrain

The Honda Civic Hybrid has much less torque than the Buick Verano, which generally means that it won't feel as fast or powerful.

Handling

The Honda Civic Hybrid has about the same turning radius as the Buick Verano, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance

When it comes to horsepower, the Honda Civic Hybrid is significantly less powerful than the Buick Verano. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.

Utility

In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Honda Civic Hybrid and the Buick Verano. The Honda Civic Hybrid has significantly less cargo room than the Buick Verano, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.

Warranty

The basic warranty of the Honda Civic Hybrid is not as nearly as extensive as that of the Buick Verano.

2012 Honda Civic Hybrid:

MSRP* $24,050
City MPG 44
Highway MPG 44
Engine(s) Inline-4
Seating Capacity 5
Basic Warranty 3 years/36,000 miles

2012 Buick Verano:

MSRP* $22,585 - $25,965
City MPG 21
Engine(s) Inline-4
Seating Capacity 5
Basic Warranty 4 years/50,000 miles
