Thanks! At least we don't need car loans, those make already expensive cars cost even more. Now we just need to move to acquire more parking so we can put the winter cars indoors with the nice summer ones, lol. It is too late in the year to wash and wax it I think, so I will have to rely on the rust proofing for winter, keep it as clean as possible through winter and give it a really good clean up in the spring.

Coming from a dealership it is already spotless so it should be fine, I just like going into winter with a good coat of wax on them.

Gotcha!!! Well for Canada that is a great price then. Keep me posted and send new pics after you buy it. Give it a good name....We Verano owners love to name them. Mine is "vader". LOL He does look like Darth a bit. hahaha. Best of luck. <3

Sadly, in Canada the cost of cars is insane. It is from a dealership which adds some cost against private sales, but my girlfriend works there and is getting it basically at cost. Others for sale with more miles here are 12,000 USD or higher and even high mileage private sales are 6000 USD or higher. I envy your car prices, lol.

That is great to hear. I look forward to it. I had a very good look through the paint in the wheel wells and at the seams which is where it will typically start. Only found a couple minor paint chips so I will touch them up, get the rust proofing done and keep it clean and waxed. I don't think I will have any issues, at least anytime soon anyway. Seems like rust always wins in the end unless it is only summer driven and garage kept.

I live in Connecticut so I know all about rusting cars. There is no rust on my Verano. It was garaged up til 6 1.2 years ago when I had to move to an apartment. It has been out in the elements for these 6 + years and the paint still looks brand new...no rust, anything. You won't regret your purchase!!! Mine is black too BTW.
Haggle that price however!! I have the TURBO Premium leather package with a moon roof. And mine is appraised at $6,000.00. PLEASE check that price! Seems way too high. Again mine 2013, 51,000 miles Premium Package at $6,000.

I found it on another one locally too, so I think you are correct. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't repainted and added at some point, but it all looks original.

Thanks for the reply! It seems leaps and bounds ahead of the Kia or Hyundai cars we were thinking about until stumbling on this one. The interior, ride quality, ride noise and overall exterior styling is much better.

Better than that, I can't really find any negative reviews, and the only recalls appear to have been air bag related. I do a lot of research because I do most of the repairs and maintenance so I like to know what I am getting into. With only 36,000 miles it sounds like this car has a lot of life left. I am going to get it rust proofed and see if that will keep the body in good shape. Around here the body usually goes long before the mechanical stuff.

I also like that it has a timing chain rather than a rubber belt like most of the imports seem to have. I will probably go ahead and buy it this weekend. I doubt I am going to find a better car with 36,000 miles for $8,400 USD.

I too have nothing negative to say. Mine is a 2013 and at 2020, I still LOVE this car! I have 51,000 miles and have had no major maintenance issues. only tires, brakes and oil, which are VERY normal for the mileage. I am a large woman and the comfort is amazing and the leather seats show no wear. Everything about this car is class. Don't hesitate to buy.
