I bought my Verano about 2 months ago and have 5,000 miles on it. My job takes me out of state and I commute home on the weekends. My gas mileage for the 5K is 28.7 and that is interstate driving at 75MPH. I bought the car for the gas mileage, the way it drove, the looks and the luxury of the inside. I was commuting in an Infinity QX56 that gets 16 MPG; so you can see why I wanted the gas mileage. Before buying, I looked at and drove every make and model of the compacts. My wife and I have had 4 Mercedes and she now drives an E350 which gets about the same gas mileage as the Verano. I came close to buying another Mercedes until I came across the Verano. At first I hated the Verano and even called the dealer asking him to take it back, at which he just laughed at me. I am staring to get used to the car but have noticed a few issues; some which have been mentioned in this forum. The heated seat just comes on, even though it is 80 outside. This only happens most afternoons when I leave the job site heading back to the hotel. When I start the car with the AC on, it will blow hot air for about 2 minutes, then the AC will kick in. I keep the system on 72 and it will not operate. I have to manually turn the fan up to get it working as the fan stay on low at all times after the 2 minutes of blowing hot air. I have also had the condensation problem on the windshield. Driving down the rode the other day, I noticed my trunk open. I cannot get the driver’s comfortable. I have tried everything and after a six hour drive, my back and legs are ready for a rest. I bought this Verano with everything you can get on it. After I bought it, I found out that when you get the navigation system, you lose the Buick Intellilink. So, all the goodies they advertise, you do not have. I paid $900 extra for the navigation, but they should have had a deduction. At this point, I am trying to decide to sell it and keep driving my QX or sell the QX. That is my Verano story, so far.
